Meet Our Practitioners

Richard Sire, C.P.O. has been treating amputees for the past 10 years, specializing in prosthetics for active amputees. He has fit several types of computer knees (Rheo, c-leg, adaptive) and designed prostheses that meet the specific needs of each individual. Richard is also a faculty member at Ohlone College, where he has instructed in the Physical Therapy Assistant program for the past eight years. Richard works with amputees of all ages and deficiencies including double and multiple limb amputations. He also trained to fit upper extremity myoelectric prosthesis and is one of the few practitioners in the country to fit the new I-limb hand.

Kathleen Pelz, C.O. is our lower extremity orthotic specialist. She has worked for over 15 years in this field, with a focus on diabetic foot care. Kathleen works closely with local orthopedic surgeons and podiatrists to provide comprehensive care for their patients. Kathleen is certified in scoliosis bracing as well as stance control knee bracing components. Kathleen's specialty involves brace design for many orthopedic conditions ranging from multiple sclerosis to Charcot-Marie-Tooth disorder (CMT), to various drop foot disorders. She is also WalkAide certified.

Kyle Sullivan, C.O. is our pediatric and spinal specialist. Kyle has attended weekly orthopedic clinics at Childrens Hospital,Oakland. He also works with various C.C.S clinics in the East Bay providing custom bracing for the pediatric population. His background encompasses trauma bracing for spinal injuries, which includes scoliosis bracing. Kyle is currently in process of completing his prosthetic residency. Kyle is also WalkAide certified.

Ashley Sulprizio has been working in the field for the past three years.  As a graduate of Northwestern Prosthetics and Orthotics program, she is currently completing her orthotic residency.  Her primary focus is on post-operative bracing for both adult and pediatric populations, as well as scoliosis bracing and custom foot orthotics.  Ashley is a graduate of University of California Berkeley where she studied Integrative Biology with an emphasis in human biology and biomechanics.

Richard Nguyen completed his education and obtained his certificate in prosthetics and orthotics from California State University in Domiguez Hills. He is currently fulfilling his residency requirement for Orthotics and recently obtained his certification in Prosthetics. He is currently providing orthotic and prosthetic services in our Pleasanton Ca location. Richard has experience working with lower extremity prosthetic patients, including the use of cutting edge myoelectric componentry, custom foot orthotics, and knee bracing for sports injuries. Richard is an avid athlete and enjoys the outdoors.
